Come visit the farm and animals! Depending on the season, you may be able to snuggle with baby goats (spring), sample fresh blueberries (summer), discover fossils in the creek and forest (summer), or wander through our hanging garlic in fall.
Some of the topics we'll include are:
Goat care and interaction
Raising chickens for egg production
Organic farming methods
Textile and fiber arts (how fiber from goats becomes yarn!)
Nature exploration, preservation, and sustainability
Our goal is to introduce families and young ones to agricultural life, getting outdoors, and providing the opprtunity to experience a different aspect of Boone County.
This is a very informal event truly at no cost, but we ask for a $5 donation for the Boone County Animal Shelter for your visit.
